There are some confusing parts to this puzzle, but we have some hints and tips for you before we even dive into spoilers. Here are some clues as to what the categories might be:

This category is full of DETOURs butless about roads and more about conversational ones. There are lots of possible TANGENTs and ASIDEs in conversations, but I personally get distracted by anything that can mildly be a reference toLord of the Rings.
The hobbits take quite a few detours when they first start leaving the Shire and the continuing tangents keep them from reaching Mordor for three whole books.
PRODUCE
YIELD
GENERATE results, YIELD profits, PRODUCE goods, or BEAR fruitare all the main reasons these words belong in this category. There was nothing else that had that same meaning, so it was fairly easy today.
Tangentially, the profit from Bilbo’s quest to the Lonely Mountain was quite high, although slightly stymied a bit later by a second war. Luckily, the results generated by the second war did end up with the Dwarves once more producing a large amount of profit.

This category was a little difficult once it gotdown to the last two as the words did not immediately click. Once they did, I was not super thrilled with this category generally speaking. Thinking about it as a reference to Smaug the Dragon, however, made it more bearable as his fire did make it quite hot. He also would have seen the Dwarves as quite the snack, likely a good second breakfast, but I digress.

RIGHT
In the last category,four words canbe found as just “r” out in the wild. ARE is just “r” in text-lingo, RADIUS is abbreviated to “r” for math, REVERSE can be found on the shift stick, and RIGHT can be found on anything opposite of an “l.” This is a lot harder to tangent off into Hobbit-land, but perhaps the country of Rohan can be abbreviated down to just an “r” on certain political documents.
