Evil Season 4 Has A Massive Challenge After The Horror Show’s 5-Year Rotten Tomatoes Streak
Paramount+’s horror show, Evil, has consistently received excellent reviews since its 2019 premiere. Will its fourth season match its dream run?
Sheryl Wasn’t Always Evil And Can Be Redeemed
She’s Starting To Regain Her Power After Leland
Evilseason 4 has seen Sheryl start to reclaim her good side while still working within the systems of evil. She’s leveraging her relationship with Timothy’s surrogate mother, Leslie (Molly Brown), but also distancing herself from the demonic presence around Leland. Sheryl is a woman scorned and is proving a worthy opponent to Leland so far.
Before Leland entered Sheryl’s orbit, Kristen’s mom wasn’t always bad. She’s been a loving and protective grandmother to her four granddaughters, Lynn (Brooklyn Shuck), Lila (Skylar Gray), Lexis (Maddy Crocco), and Laura (Dalya Knapp), and has been largely supportive of Kristen’s endeavors. That good side is starting to reemerge inEvilseason 4, and this could be an important tipping point for the final episodes of the series.

Evil Season 4 Climax Could See Sheryl Fighting For Power
Sheryl And Kristen Reuniting Could Be The Key To Breaking The Evil Plot Ahead
With Sheryl’s redemption arc inEvilseason 4, Lahti’s character could be set to become the most important element in battling the upcoming climax. She has access to both the evil organization run by the demonic Manager Demon as well as connections to the church. Based on her actions in episode 8, “How to Save a Life”,she’s clearly willing to go to great lengths to ensure the safety of Timothy’s soulby getting him secretly baptized. These elements suggest that Sheryl could be central to theEvilseries finale.
From her position, Sheryl has the potential to seize control of the evil organization from within. She’s worked her way up to management, and although the male executives confined her to an office with a literal glass ceiling, she’s the only one who sees the Manager Demon in his true form. Sheryl has power there and has started organizing the other women in the office, suggesting a possible managerial coup happening in the near future.

Kristen and Sheryl’s relationship has been strained since Leland’s meddling caused a rift between mother and daughter. This was his goal, and untilEvilseason 4, he’d been successful. In recent episodes, Sheryl has been fighting back, and is desperately trying to repair her relationship with Kristen. After Leland’s attack landed Sheryl in hospital,Kristen finally realized Leland’s weakness is unity. He’s worked hard to sow division, so Sheryl and Kristen reuniting in the series finale could be the key to defeating evil.
