Samsung’s folding phones are the pinnacle of its portfolio, both cutting edge yet finally mainstream. TheSamsung Galaxy Z Fold 4has refined the tablet-style foldable yet again, shifting aspect ratios and finally giving us the camera upgrade we’ve needed for two generations. It may have a high price tag, but it fills the role of two expensive devices, so it’s somewhat expected. And, of course, there’s always a deal to be had on the latest andgreatest Android phones.

As always, buying asuperb Samsung phonedirectly from the company itself might be your best bet — especially if you have some older hardware to trade in. Samsung routinely offers some of the best trade-in values in the industry, and while the trade-in values are slightly lower now than during the preorder window back in August, they’re still pretty generous (at least when trading in Samsung phones).
If you’re picking up a Galaxy Z Fold 4, Samsung is offering up to $100 in credit for eligible trade-ins. That said, don’t gettooexcited — only Samsung’s own Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and the Note 20 Ultra are eligible. Samsung is also taking $120 off the 512GB and 1TB configurations, great news for those of you who download everything on your phone.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 was initially eligible for $900 trade-in for a Flip 4, but that number quicklydropped to $700, which is still pretty decent even if you’re just trading in to get a newer processor and screen.

If you prefer to buy from a brick-and-mortar location — or, at the very least, pick up an online order from one — Best Buy is a good place to prowl for deals, as Best Buy often offers its own phone deals on top of almost all carrier deals being available through Best Buy. For the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Best Buy will take $400 off if you activate it at the time of purchase. This might not help those on smaller carriers, but for Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Google Fi, and Sprint (if you somehow haven’t been moved over to T-Mobile yet). For those without a phone to trade in, this is the lowest price we’ve seen so far.

Best Buy will take $200 off the Galaxy Z Flip 4 when activated at purchase. For T-Mobile and AT&T users, if you’re activating a new line or a new plan, you get an extra $100 off.
Amazon is currently offering both the 256GB and 512GB models of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 at $1,500, giving you $300 off the base model or $420 off the 512GB.

Like the Fold 4, the 128GB and 256GB Z Flip 4 are both $900, $100 and $160 off respectively.
If you’re a Verizon customer, the carrier is currently offering up to $1000 off the Z Flip 4 or Fold 4 when you trade in an eligible device. While usually these trade-in deals only extend to Samsung and Apple for the trade-in, even some older Pixels like the Pixel 4 Pixel 4a seem eligible for $800. If you have some old hardware lying around, this offer is pretty compelling — especially for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, since its price is reduced to just a couple hundred dollars.
If you’re a new customer switching to Verizon, you can also get a $200 Verizon eCard after you sign up.

AT&T is offering subscribers up to $800 off Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Z Fold 4 when they enter a payment plan and trade in qualifying phones from Apple, Samsung, Google, LG, and others.

Early on, AT&T offered a pretty insane deal that allowed you to trade in any Galaxy smartphone in any condition to get $1,000 off the Z Fold 4 or Flip 4 — they did the same thing back when the Galaxy S22 series launched in February — but it’s not active at the moment. As Black Friday and the holiday shopping season approaches, I’m guessing it’ll return at some point.
T-Mobile’s best offer for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has nothing to do with trade-ins — it’s all about activating a new Magenta MAX line. With a new line activation, you can get $800 off a Flip 4, all while keeping your older device. If you’re already a Magenta MAX subscriber, a qualifying trade-in will get you that same $800 off. If you’re not a Magenta MAX subscriber, you can $400 off the Flip 4 with a new line or a qualifying phone trade-in. In all of these cases, you’ll be on a 24-month payment plan, with the savings issued as monthly bill credits.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the same, $800 off for Magenta MAX and $400 off for non-Magenta subscribers with the same stipulations: activating a new line or trading in a device, with credits issued over 36 months.
