The 5 Cars With the Coolest Headlights for Sale Now
Headlights are an essential part of your vehicle. Not only are they vital for the driver’s safety, but they’re also indispensable in helping those around you see your vehicle at night. Headlights also serve an aesthetic role in your car, and worn-out, yellowed headlights can instantly make a vehicle look ten years older than it truly is. With the introduction of new technologies like LED bulbs, vehicle headlights are more advanced than they’ve ever been.
Check out this article for five of the coolest headlights available on the market today and the cars they’re attached to.

1. Tesla Model S
It seems like no list of awesome cars is complete without a Tesla. Well, this list’s resident Tesla is theperformance EVking: the Model S. This car has been on the market since 2012. It’s hard to believe it’s already been ten years since this handsome sedan debuted. Oddly enough, the Tesla doesn’t show its age.
One of the biggest reasons the Model S still looks fresh today is the updated headlights. The original Model S had boring headlights that did little to enhance the car’s appearance, especially odd considering that it was probably the most advanced vehicle on the road at the time. The current Model S is another story.

The headlights look super futuristic, especially the daytime running lights. The headlights are also available with automatic high beams and can be configured with an adaptive system if available in your region. The adaptive headlights can illuminate curves better and also illuminate the side of the road where unseen objects may lurk.
2. Bugatti Chiron
The Bugatti Chiron is a fantasy car. Everything about it is outlandish and expensive, and the headlights are no exception. The strange thing is that the Veyron featured some pretty unattractive headlights. The Chiron is in another league, though. Bugatti really did their homework when designing the new headlights, especially the daytime running lights, which make the car look like an angry alien with lots of eyes and perform a little LED dance when you unlock the car.
The squared-off lighting elements of the Chiron go very well with the design language of the entire car and set it apart from everything else on the road. In ultra-exotic vehicles like the Chiron, it’s also important that everything about the car ages well. In the case of the Chiron’s headlights, they look like tiny crystals carved into a cubic shape, and they’re probably going to look just as great 30 years from now.

3. Rivian R1T
The tech-filled R1Tis an amazing-looking vehicle, and arguably the most iconic design element of the R1T is its headlights. The upright headlights make the Rivian look almost cartoonish, almost like a talking vehicle from an animated film. The quirky colors the Rivian is available in help to underscore the already curious-looking exterior. But, the headlights are at the center of the cool styling.
Not only do they illuminate the road very well, but they’re also the most unique headlights on any vehicle for sale. When you see a Rivian, you immediately know what you’re looking at due to the funky headlights. The headlights are definitely awesome, but the LED lightbar that runs across the entire front end is also super cool.

The LED bar changes colors when you’re charging the Rivian, turning a deep green color to indicate that the car is charging. This is extremely cool and is bound to get tons of attention whenever you find yourself at a charging station in your Rivian.
As vehicles get more advanced, we can expect to see more dynamic functionality from headlights, especially safety features that will adapt to the road’s conditions. Rivian will have a hard time redesigning their vehicles moving forward because the rounded headlights have definitely become a huge staple of their brand.

The BMW i4 is a sporty electric sedan from the company that used to make the world’s best sports sedans. BMW might not be the same company that used to be laser-focused on driving dynamics, but their vehicles are still impressive, especially their headlights. The BMW i4 is available with BMW’s Laserlight headlights, which are revolutionary lights that work with laser technology.
These laser headlights use less energy than comparable LED lights, which is quite an achievement because LED lights are already much more efficient than halogen bulbs. On the BMW i4, the laser headlights give the vehicle a mean and menacing glare from the front. The Laserlight headlights feature distinctive blue accents that make the vehicle’s front end come alive.
The headlight design itself is very aggressive, with a thin headlight enclosure that makes the i4 look mad from the front. The only problem with the i4 is the unattractive BMW grille, which they should’ve eliminated on this car altogether, seeing as how it’s an EV. However, BMW’s new design language is arguably very good, especially the headlights adorning most of their range. Hopefully, they can find a way to keep the design language intact while simultaneously eliminating their new grille.
5. Porsche Taycan
The Porsche Taycan is too expensive for the amount of performance it offers, especially when the total range is taken into account. Competitors like Tesla have this car beat on most fronts; the only reason somebody would buy any spec of this vehicle over a Model S would be to have the Porsche badge.
The styling of the car is nice, but it’s nothing that will make you drop out of your seat either. The vehicle is quite conservatively styled, almost bordering on boring. The one saving grace of the Taycan might be its headlights. The headlights are super attractive and implement Porsche’s design language very well.
Once you see the tiny headlights with Porsche’s signature 4-edged LED running lights, you instantly know you’re looking at something special. The car looks especially good in white, where the dark accents surrounding the headlights actually pop and give the front end some much-needed aggression.
Headlights Deserve More Attention
The next time you’re shopping for a vehicle, a car with a cool set of headlights should be at the top of your list. Headlights are some of the most important parts present in modern vehicles, but they are sometimes overshadowed by a vehicle’s powertrain or other tech features.
But, getting stuck with headlights that don’t illuminate well at night is a huge deal-breaker. Luckily, most vehicles today are available with headlights that perform great and look good.
