1.GIMP Online
First up on this list, we have GIMP Online. If you’ve never heard of it before, GIMP is an image editing software that lets you do just about anything that Photoshop can do. If you’ve ever needed to findanother way to open a PSD file without Photoshop, then GIMP is a great option.
But did you know that you can also use GIMP in your browser? All you have to do is install the GIMP Online Chrome extension and then access it from your extension bar.
From there, you can begin with a blank document or from an existing image. Editing is as straightforward and easy as using GIMP, with all of the layering features, brush types, and more that you might expect.
It’s worth noting that the extension itself can be a little laggy, and it’s somewhat easy to accidentally click out of it and lose your progress if you aren’t using it in full-screen mode.

The aptly named Photo Editor is the next entry on this list. This Chrome extension is super easy to use, and great for making quick and dirty edits to photos that you might find online and want to use later.
To use the extension, the easiest way is to simply right-click on an image that you come across while browsing. It’s possible to struggle with this sometimes, but once you learnhow to save a webpage image when right-clicking won’t work, it should become a non-issue.
Once you’ve chosen your image, Photo Editor will show you a variety of options on the left of the screen. There are options to quickly crop, flip, and rotate the image, as well as options to add new elements such as shapes, icons, and text.
Photo Editor’s best feature is the filter tab, however. These filters let you adjust an image using options such as grayscale, sepia, sharpen, pixelate, and more. Perfect for when you want to quickly change the feel of an image without going too in-depth.
3.PhotoStudio
If you’re looking for an image editor that’s relatively easy to use and comes with some unique features, then PhotoStudio is a handy little Chrome extension that can be surprisingly useful.
Once you install the extension, you can choose to use it as either a pop-out over your current work, or in a new tab. The latter is the easier option in most cases.
There are plenty of basic features here such as the option to crop, flip, and rotate images, and options to make adjustments to brightness, contrast, and clarity as well.
PhotoStudio also features a range of more advanced or unusual features. For example, if you’ve ever wanted to add overlays to an image such as a lens flare or light leak, then PhotoStudio lets you easily do that. There are varied blur options such as radial blur and tilt shifting as well.
4.Sumopaint
When it comes to editing images, sometimes having more features and control is better. That’s where Sumopaint comes in.
Sumopaint is a lot like Photoshop for your browser. The layout is snappy and responsive, and the extension works much like any quality image editing program with options for layers, file import, and many tools to use.
Sumopaint lets you easily adjust the exposure, temperature, tint, saturation, and contrast of an image. There are also plenty of options to add in new shapes and text if you so wish.
Where Sumopaint really excels is if you want to edit an image using brushes. If you wanted to draw something with your mouse or a drawing tablet, then Sumopaint lets you do that quickly and easily.
There are a huge variety of different brush sizes, shapes, and other features. You can even import your own brushes if you knowhow to make custom brushes in Photoshopor another program. To add to this, there are options for perspective and symmetry as well.
Finally, we have PhotoPad Photo Editor. If you’re looking for something that has a wealth of features that you can make the most of using just your mouse, then PhotoPad Photo Editor might be the best option for you.
To get started with PhotoPad Photo Editor, all you have to do is install the extension and access it from the extension bar. From there, you can choose any image on your computer to begin editing.
Essentially, PhotoPad Photo Editor lets you add multiple different effects onto an image, sort of like layers. These effects can be as simple as level or color balancing, grayscale and sepia effects, or more complicated effects such as pixelation and lens distortion.
It’s worth noting that not all of the features you see in this extension are actually available, however. PhotoPad Photo Editor also has a desktop app, and a reasonable number of the effects listed in the extension can only be accessed if you download the full application.
