Somehow, season two of the series not only matched the first season’s success, but surpassed it.Both seasons of the show shattered tons of records, showing just how massive the series is.
Season two ofSolo Levelinghas some of the best fights in the entire franchise. The season shows Sung Jinwoo interacting with his new Shadow Army for the first time while growing it into a nearly unstoppable force. 8Jinwoo’s Shadow Army Vs. The Ice Bears
Igris' First Mission Ever And The Introduction Of Tank
Jinwoo ended season one gathering his first Shadows. In one ofthe best fights ofSolo Leveling’sfirst season, Jinwoo took on Blood-Red Commander Igris, the strongest enemy he had faced up until that point. He beat Igris in a brutal fight that Jinwoo admitted he would have lost if Igris had used his sword the entire time.
After finally defeating Igris, Jinwoo added him to his Shadow Army, creating his first named soldier in the process. Igris, according to Jinwoo, was stronger than the newly reawakened Hunter, so fans couldn’t wait to see the Commander in action.

Igris' first opportunity to fight for his new master came during the Red Gate Arc. Jinwoo and a few other Hunters get trapped in a Red Gate, an ominously powerful Gate that is much stronger than a normal version. Jinwoo and his Shadows take on the Ice Bears, some of the toughest enemies around.
Jinwoo’s normal soldiers do a great job of taking out the Ice Bears until the leader of the pack, the Alpha Ice Bear, steps out. The Alpha Ice Bear decimates Jinwoo’s troops, forcing the protagonist to give Igris his first ever quest.Igris demolishes the Alpha Ice Bear faster than even Jinwoo would have guessed, showing that Jinwoo’s first named Shadow is truly a force to be reckoned with.

7Jinwoo Vs. Avaricious Vulcan
Avaricious Vulcan Was Much More Than Jinwoo Expected
The Demon Castle is arguably the most important Dungeon inSolo Leveling.Jinwoo’s entire goal in theSolo Levelinganime is to find a way to cure his mother of the incurable Eternal Sleep Disease. It’s a disease that puts her in a permanent coma, and the only thing that Jinwoo can do is pay for her hospital bills while the medical facility sustains her.
Jinwoo learns that the ingredients for the Holy Water of Life are in the Demon Castle. The Holy Water of Life is said to cure any disease, so Jinwoo dedicates himself to getting strong enough to ascend the Demon Castle and getting what he needs to help his mom.
The Demon Castle is brutal. Jinwoo barely survives the first time he enters, but by the time he comes back, he has an entire army with him. Jinwoo has plenty of great fights in the castle, and few are better than his fight with the boss of the 50th floor, Avaricious Vulcan.

6Jinwoo Vs. Goto Ryuji
The Strongest Japanese Hunter Felt Fear In The Manhwa
Jinwoo vs. Goto Ryuji is a fight nobody in the world ofSolo Levelingwould have seen coming. At this point in the series, Sung Jinwoo recently became Korea’s 10th S-Rank Hunter, and while the rank shows that he’s incredibly powerful, nobody really knew how strong he was.
Solo Leveling Season 2 Is Done, So Can Anime’s New Manhwa Live Up to Its Expectations?
Solo Leveling Season 2 has come to its end. With fans looking for another hit manhwa adaptation, will The Beginning After the End live up to the hype?
The Fourth Jeju Island Raid sees the Japanese Hunters Associations and the Korean Hunters Association working together, and before they head out on the raid, the two organizations meet up to have a sparring match. Things got out of hand between Cha Hae-In and Atsushi Kumamoto, forcing Jinwoo to step in and save his fellow Korean Hunter.
Goto Ryuji, the strongest of the Japanese Hunters, couldn’t believe how strong Jinwoo was, so he asked him to fight. Jinwoo obliged, andthe pair are quickly fighting at an entirely different level than everyone else.
Goto Ryuji and Sung Jinwoo are fighting so intensely, they’re stopped by their fellow Hunters. In the manhwa, Ryuji sees death itself before Jinwoo’s final blow is stopped by Baek Yoonho and Cha-Hae In, showing that even the strongest Japanese Hunter is outmatched by Jinwoo.
5Jinwoo Vs. Kargalgan
While other anime are scared of showing their best moments off for free online,Solo Levelinghas taken the opposite approach.Solo Levelingposts all of its best fights online for free; it’sa genius marketing tacticthat shows just how confident both the series itself and streaming service Crunchyroll is.
The best fights inSolo Levelingare more than just the fight itself: they’re also made amazing by all the build-up leading to the confrontation. When Jinwoo takes on Kargalgan, he’s only helping the raid party out as someone carrying their gear. When it looks like they’re about to get slaughtered, however, he steps up to the plate.
Jinwoo asks the raid leader for permission to take Kargalgan on solo, and even though the raid leader can’t believe what he’s hearing, he lets Jinwoo do his thing.Jinwoo’s stunning display of strength makes for one of the coolest moments of the series, as he destroys Kargalgan in front of a gallery of Hunters who are nothing short of speechless.
4Korean’s S-Rank Hunters Vs. The Ant Queen
A Combined Effort Saw The Ant Queen Fall After A Tough Battle
The strongest Hunters in Korea united for the Fourth Jeju Island Raid, heading straight towards the boss. Baek Yoonho, Cha Hae-In, Choi Jong-In, Ma Dongwook, Tae Lim-Gyu, and even the reluctant Min Byung-Gyu went to face their strongest enemy yet in an attempt to save their country from the ever-increasing threat of the Ants. No other situation would have forced the characters to work together, showing just how dangerous the ants are becoming.
It is amazing to see the strongest Hunters in the entire country of Korea working together. Each character, outside of Cha Hae-In and Min Byung-Gyu, leads an entire guild, making their teamwork even more satisfying. Each S-Rank Hunter goes all out against the ants, and with Min Byung-Gyu’s amazing support as a Healer, they’re able to bring the most out of themselves and then some.
3Jinwoo Vs. Barca
The Leader Of The Ice Elves Would Have Made For An Unreal Shadow
Jinwoo’s fight against Barca is one of the few that really tests the newly reawakened Hunter. For most of Jinwoo’s fights, he’s measurably stronger than his opponent, allowing him to sit back and take it easy. Barca is different; he’s one of the only enemies inSolo Levelingthat forced Jinwoo to fight alongside his Shadows.
Jinwoo’s fight against Barca feels dangerous.Barca fights ferociously and has a smile on his face nearly the entire time. Jinwoo wins with the help of Igris and his newly acquired Shadow, Iron, but it wasn’t easy. The three together proved to be enough to take the Ice Slayer down in one of the best fights of the series.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to add Barca to his Shadow Army, and it’s a shame because Barca would have easily been one ofJinwoo’s strongest Shadows inSolo Leveling. He did get Barca’s daggers after the fight, and they proved to be some of Jinwoo’s strongest blades for some time.
2Jinwoo Vs. Baran
Jinwoo Ended His Fight Against The Demon King In Style
Jinwoo’s fight against Baran is one of the best animated fights in the series. The animation inSolo Levelingis always good, butwhen Jinwoo is fighting the Demon King and the Monarch of White Flames, animation studio A-1 Pictures takes it to an entirely new level.Jinwoo’s fight against Baran is his most important in season two, as Baran holds the final ingredient to curing Jinwoo’s mother of the Eternal Slumber Disease.
Jinwoo looks like he’s going to lose the fight for most of it. At the very end, when Baran has him cornered, Esil throws a sword at Baran. It distracts the Demon King long enough for Jinwoo to regain his resolve and focus his strength, ripping Baran’s arms clean off. He then finishes the Monarch with a nuclear uppercut, punching his head off and creating a mushroom cloud in the sky above.
1Jinwoo Vs. The Ant King
One Of The Best Fights In Anime History
While the fight is still relatively recent in the anime world, Jinwoo’s slug fest against the Ant King will go down as one ofthe best fights in the history of anime.Solo Levelinghad been building up to this fight since the very first episode, when they showed how poorly the Third Jeju Island Raid went.
Both the Japanese and Korean S-Rank Hunters were no match for the Ant King. When Jinwoo realized just how bleak the situation was, he used his new Shadow Exchange ability to teleport to the island in one of the most hyped moments of the past few years.
Jinwoo walked right up the Ant King like he was another enemy, and the two had a fight that tookSolo Levelingpast the stratosphere. The animation alone was out of this world, andJinwoo’s relentless assault was perfectly indicative of his characterasthe strongest Hunter inSolo Leveling.
