Silo Season 2’s New Mystery Silo Explained
What Graham Yost Has Revealed
As theSiloseason 2 footage teases, the world of the Apple TV+ sci-fi mystery series is set to expand fairly drastically with the new batch of episodes. TheSiloseason 1 finaleends with Juliette being forced outside to clean, and she makes the startling discovery that her silo is one of dozens scattered across the landscape. Comments from show creator Graham Yost have already revealed that the silo Juliette encounters in the footage described above is one that experienced a devastating revolt.
Siloseason 2 will consist of 10 episodes in total.
AsYost toldEW, the season 2 premiere will feature two key story threads, with one following Juliette as she explores this abandoned silo, and another that reveals what took place there at some point in the past. According to the creator, what happened in this mysterious silo is at risk of happening back in Juliette’s home as well. Yost makes clear that rebellion for Zahn’s character’s silo ended with pretty much everybody dead. Read his description of a scene from the premiere below:
He’s got this green flag and says, ‘Follow me to freedom. Let’s go outside. They run up and we cut from them just as they’re going outside to seeing that same flag sticking up out of the ground, out of the hand of a skeleton, and it’s God knows how many years later. In the distance is this person in a cleaning suit walking toward it, and it’s Juliette, who will follow the trail of bodies that will lead her into a dead silo.

A major question in the rest of season 2, then, will seemingly be whether other members of theSilocastof characters will suffer this same fate.Juliette surviving after going outside to clean and making it over the hill will have those inside questioning the leadership of Tim Robbins’ Bernardand Commons' Sims, putting the entire silo at risk of a rebellion that would kill them all. Many questions remain aboutSIloseason 2, but the show is evidently shaking things up heading into season 2.
