Production onScream 7was supposed to begin in September 2024 but has been pushed back to December 2024 instead.Campbell recently explained whyScream 7got delayed, saying “We were supposed to start in September, but we’re going to start in December now because of some scheduling stuff with Kevin and myself and having that all aligned. And actually, I think it’s a good thing, because we’re going to be able to have the time to get it really right. So I’m very excited about it.” Kevin Williamson, of course, is the original screenwriter of 1996’sScream,who will directScream 7.
With the extra time that Campbell, Cox, and Williamson have to prepare forScream 7, the movie is poised to be one of the better installments despite all the behind-the-scenes setbacks.Scream 7has still not been given an official release date.
