The Zoro actor can be seen with even bigger arm muscles than he had in season 1, the picture showing how big his biceps now are. This implies a big physical difference for the character going into the next episodes, as he exudes more powerful energy than ever before.
What To Expect From Zoro In One Piece Season 2
By theend ofOne Pieceseason 1, Zoro decided he wanted to become the best swordsman in the world following his fight with Dracule Mihawk, where he lost to the more experienced pirate. With this new goal in mind, he also grew closer to the rest of the Straw Hats,forming a friendship with Luffy as well as a budding rivalry with Sanji.It appears these elements of his character will continue into season 2, once the group finally makes their way into the Grand Line.
While it’s unclear where Zoro’s story will go for sure, the series appears to be following every story arc in the manga. This means the next big arc is the Arabasta Saga,where the sprawling criminal organization Baroque Works will show up.While he doesn’t have a detailed past with the group, he does know who they are in the source material, something that could be explored more thoroughly in the live-action version. However, it’s unclear how the story will be approached, nor what his role in it is going to be.
With plenty of newOne Piececharactersexpected in season 2, though, it would make sense for Zoro to interact with them, getting them accustomed to the Straw Hat Pirates. This will definitely include Chopper based on the first teaser for season 2, and likely see Vivi involved in the story as well. With plenty of potential for where the next season will go, it appears Zoro’s role will be multifaceted as the story evolves.
Arabasta Saga is also where Zoro and Sanji’s rivalry fully grows stronger, leading to some funny moments.
