Interestingly, and perhaps sadly,Luke Skywalker’s prime has never truly been shown on screen. The closestStar Warshas come to that reveal was likely inThe Mandalorian’sseason 2 finalewhen he had his epic entrance and came to collect Grogu. That scene, while brilliant, was short-lived, however, and it didn’t show Luke Skywalker in a true battle.

Yet again, though, while this was thrilling to see,it didn’t really show Luke at his peak. In that sense, Luke Skywalker can still be shown as the thing his father never was: a Jedi Master. In fact, even in the sequel trilogy when it seemed he had abandoned the Jedi path and left the galaxy defenseless, he chose Ahch-To, the location of the first Jedi Temple, as his hiding place. Clearly, even when Luke felt entirely hopeless about the light side of the Force, the role of the Jedi, and the fate of the galaxy, he still sought Jedi teachings. In light of all of these factors, the question remains: who is more powerful, Luke Skywalker or Anakin Skywalker? In truth, it’s difficult to say for certain, as each does have their own strengths. In terms of raw power, Anakin Skywalker wins the day. However, this is not the sole definition or factor of true power. When it comes to discipline and commitment to the Jedi way, Luke Skywalker is the clear winner.
