Messages can easily get buried on WhatsApp as new ones flood in. How can you ensure your most important chats, whether from individuals or groups, remain easily accessible without sifting through your chat history? The answer is simple: favorite them.
How to Favorite Chats on WhatsApp
To favorite chats on WhatsApp, select theChatstab in the bottom menu and select theFavoritesfilter at the top. If you don’t see the filter, ensure to swipe down on your screen so that the filters appear.
This is where you’ll find all the conversations you’ve favorited. If you have no chats in this section yet, tap theAdd to Favoritestext.
Select the contacts you want to favorite and tapDonein the top-right corner on iPhone or thegreen checkmark buttonin the bottom-left corner on Android.
Now you’re able to access these chats when you select theFavoritesfilter in theChatstab.

How to Manage Your Favorite Chats on WhatsApp
You can manage your favorite chats on WhatsApp by going to theChatstab, selecting theFavoritesfeature, and tapping theManage Favoriteslink. You can add more chats on this screen by tappingAdd favoriteand selecting the conversations you want to favorite.
You can also remove chats from the favorites list. On iPhone, tap thered circleon the left side of the chat and then tapDeleteon the right. On Android, tap thetrash bin iconnext to the conversation.
You can also rearrange the favorited chats based on importance, with the most important one on top. To do that, press and hold thedrag handle—the icon with the lines—next to the chat and drag it to the position you want.
Favoriting chats on WhatsApp is like creating a VIP section for important conversations. Now you will be able to find them easily. This is one of the features that may make youuse WhatsApp over other messaging apps.

In addition to favoriting them, there are otherways to organize your WhatsApp chats. You can, for example, pin conversations to the top of the chat list and star important messages to avoid scrolling through long threads to find them.
