Star Trek: Section 31 - Everything You Need To Know

Academy Award-winner Michelle Yeoh headlines Star Trek: Section 31, and here’s what we know about Paramount+’s first Star Trek streaming movie.

Why Rob Kazinsky Can’t Be A Borg In Star Trek: Section 31

Although Section 31 might be breaking some rules

Rob Kazinsky isn’t playing a Borg inStar Trek: Section 31, as his character looks humanoid (with hair) and shows emotion in the trailer’s blistering action scenes. Kazinsky does appear to be a cyborg of some sort, although he could be wearing a tactical battle suit.Kazinsky’sSection 31mystery man could also be a cybernetically enhanced human;Star Trekhas introduced a few of those already, likeAiriam (Hannah Cheesman) inStar Trek: Discoveryand Lt. Sam Rutherford (Eugene Cordero) inStar Trek: Lower Decks.Kazinsky could also be playing a next generation MACO solider fromStar Trek: Enterprise.

It’s quite clear Star Trek: Section 31 is here to break some rules.

Star Trek: Section 31appears to be set in the early 24th century, dubbedStar Trek’s"lost era”.This is another reason why Rob Kazinsky can’t be playing a Borg.Humans don’t encounter the Borg until Q (John de Lancie) makes the “introduction” to the USS Enterprise-D inStar Trek: The Next Generation. Then again, it’s quite clearStar Trek: Section 31is here to break some rules, and maybe Borg canon could be one of them.
