Multiview is a unique feature available on YouTube TV that allows you to watch multiple channels at the same time. Here, we will show you everything you need to know to harness this feature so you no longer have to flick between channels or miss out on any vital on-screen moments.
What Is Multiview?
Multiview is a YouTube TV feature that allows you to split your screen into two to four sections so you may watch up to four different channels at the same time. This feature could be a game changer for any viewer, but it is especially helpful for viewing news coverage or for sports fans who follow multiple games at the same time.
How to Use Multiview on YouTube TV
Once you’ve found something that piques your interest, select it with your remote to start watching.
As you’re watching multiple channels in multiview, you will notice one channel has a white outline around it. This is the channel you will receive audio for. You can switch these around with the directional buttons on your TV remote.

How to Switch to Full Screen on YouTube TV
If there is one channel you would like to zoom in on while watching in multiview, use the directional pad on your TV remote to navigate to the right channel. Select it to blow it up to full size, and once you’re ready, press the back button on your remote to go back to multiview.
If you would like to end your multiview session altogether, simply press back on your remote again.

What Restrictions Are There With Multiview on YouTube TV?
Unfortunately, YouTube TV’s multiview does have some restrictions. These are mainly in terms of what devices and channels can be enjoyed with the feature.
What Devices Can Use Multiview?
While YouTube TV is available on mobile devices, tablets, TVs, and web browsers, the multiview feature is only available on smart TVs and streaming media players. This means you either need a smart TV with the YouTube TV app installed or another streaming media player, like Apple TV or Roku.
What Channels Can I Stream in Multiview?
Multiview is only available for compatible channels. To check if a channel is compatible, select it and see if theAdd to multiviewfeature is available in the menu on the right. If not, you can’t watch that channel in multiview.
Most compatible channels are news, sports, or weather channels, including ESPN, Fox News, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, and MSNBC.

You are also unable to select your own channels to watch in multiview. This is due to technical reasons and because much of what you view on YouTube TV is dependent on your local region. There are plenty of predetermined layouts provided by YouTube TV that you can choose from, however. These change frequently depending on what’s airing at the time you’re viewing, so you will never be without something to watch.
Don’t Miss a Moment With YouTube TV’s Multiview Feature
Multiview is an incredibly unique feature with a multitude of uses. Whether it’s news, weather, or sports you’re after, there are always plenty of options to choose from, so you no longer have to worry about picking a channel. Why argue with your friends about what sports game to watch when you may just watch them all?
