If you shop on Amazon, you know how easy it is to view and track all your orders through the order history page. But if you share your account with others, this feature can quickly become a privacy issue. The good news is that it’s fairly easy to hide your Amazon orders. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Who Can See Your Amazon Orders?

When you share your Amazon login credentials with family, friends, or housemates, they typically have access to your account and, by extension, your order history. This includes details regarding the products you purchase, the arrival dates, the address you shipped them to, and even the payment method you used for each order. If you’d rather these details stay private, I recommend hiding your Amazon orders.
How to Hide Your Amazon Orders
The only way to hide your Amazon orders is by archiving them. Here’s how:
This will remove the order from your primary order history page, but you’ll still be able to view it on theArchived Orderspage. Note that if you ordered multiple items in a single purchase, archiving the order will hide all items from it.

To view archived orders, log into your Amazon account and selectAccount & Listsin the top-right corner of the webpage. On the page you are redirected to, selectArchived orders. You can view all your orders on this page and unarchive them if needed.
Be aware that anyone with access to your Amazon account who knows where to look can still see your archived orders. Archiving keeps them out of the main orders list, but they’re still accessible.

Reasons to Hide Your Amazon Orders
You don’t have to hide your Amazon orders just because you share your account with others, but there are plenty of times when doing so might be necessary. For instance:
1. Surprise Gifts
The holidays are the best time to indulge your loved ones with thoughtful gifts. This becomes especially easy with Amazon, given that theAdvanced Search feature lets you find exactly what you want. If you’ve managed to pick the perfect gifts for your family and friends and, naturally, want to keep them a secret, hiding those gift orders will help.
2. Personal Purchases
If you bought something for yourself and don’t want others coming across the purchase, hiding the order is the best way to maintain your privacy. You can still access the order details and track the product while on its way, but can rest assured that others won’t accidentally stumble upon your personal purchases.
3. Helps You Keep Track of Specific Purchases
I’ve also hidden specific orders I want to keep separate from my main order history. With multiple people ordering products through my Amazon account, it can become hard to find specific items. Hiding these purchases lets me quickly locate the orders and reorder or track them.
Create an Amazon Household to Share Benefits Privately
Hiding your Amazon orders is most useful for maintaining your privacy if you share your Amazon account. However, if you don’t want to go through the hassle of hiding individual orders, considersetting up an Amazon Householdinstead. This lets you share your account benefits with friends and family, while still having your personal account that keeps your order history private.
