How To Evolve Lampent In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Hunt For a Stone
Like other games in the series, the only way toevolve Lampent into Chandelure inPokémon Scarlet & Violetis by using a Dusk Stone. Select a stone from your bag, choose a Lampent in your party, and its evolution will instantly occur. If you don’t have one already, these stones can be obtained in four ways inScarlet & Violetoutside of random item drops.
The quickest location tofind a Dusk Stone inPokemon Scarlet & Violetisright behind the Montenevera gym, as marked in the images above. A second way is going to the marked location in West Province (Area Three) by a mountainside. Thirdly, a Dusk Stonewill be rewarded to any player who has caught 130 Pokémon in their Paldea Pokédex.
Watch for the sparkling items on the ground while you’re exploring. If you’re lucky, a Dusk Stone can be one of the random item drops to find.
How To Get Chandelure Without Evolution
Time For A Raid
Players who have already used their Dusk Stones or cannot quickly get another can still catch one in 5 and 6-Star Tera Raid battles in Kitakami. However, This is more difficult since 5- and 6-StarTera Raids inPokémon Scarlet & Violetare only unlocked after beating the main game, followed by the post-game tournament. Even then, the featured Pokémon in Tera Raids are usually random, so finding a Chandelure ultimately comes down to trial and error.
Nevertheless, you can get lucky and still encounter a Chandelure Tera Raid by chance, bypassing the need for an evolution stone. These higher-level Tera Raids can be tough, though, so be sure you’re prepared for whatever Tera-type the boss will be.
There are four guaranteed ways to get a Dusk Stone inPokémon Scarlet & Violet,though finding and using one is still the easiest way to evolve Lampent into Chandelure.
