Step 1: Open a Mug Design
Open theCanvawebsite on your computer and log in with your details. If you’re new to the software, here are somehidden Canva features to know.
Go toCreate a designin the top right corner. Click onMug.
Step 2: Add a Template Design to the Mug
You will see the picture of the mug in the workspace.
ClickDesignon the left top corner and click on theTemplatestab. Search for a specific term like birthday, Mother’s Day, positive, and so on. Drag the template and drop it on your mug. You will see the mug showing the template.
Step 3: Design the Back of the Mug
Once you’re done with the front of the mug, you have to do the backside too. You can search again for a different template. The template had two pages in our case, so we are using the second page for our mug’s back.
Press theAdd pagebutton below your design.
Drag the template on the mug. Personalize the words if you wish.
Step 4: Print the Mug
You can find thePrint Mugsin the top right corner. Click on it.
You will see the preview of the mug. Check if the mug looks the way you want. check that the front and back of the mug have the designs you want.
Then clickCheckout. Choose your preferred shipping details, add your address, and pressContinue.
In the next step, choose your preferred method to pay. You have four options: Credit or Debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Once you give your payment details, clickPlace Order.
That’s it. Your mug will reach you according to the delivery speed you specified.
How to Design a Custom Mug With Canva
If you’re not happy with any of the free templates or don’t want tospend money on the Canva Protemplates, you could design your own.
you’re able to use Canva or any other software like Adobe Fresco or Photoshop to create your design. Your file must be in JPEG, PNG, or SVG format. We suggest using the PNG format for your design to work seamlessly. Also, confirm your file is 300 dpi so looks good on print.
It’s quite straightforward to do this. Upload your file to Canva, and you can use it to design the mug. You can find theUploadsbutton on the left side; click on it. Then pressUpload filesto add your file. You can drag the design on your mug and adjust the size.
You can also add text and various elements from theElementssection and use them on your mugs. There are some greatfree fonts you can try in Canva.
Then, follow Step 4 from the above section to print your mug.
How to Design a Photo Mug With Canva
