The Connection Between The Two Shows Could Become Closer

Plot details aboutGen Vseason 2 remain under wraps. However, based on howThe Boysseason 4 ends, with Cate capturing Frenchie, and Sam seemingly doing the same to Kimiko, it stands to reason that those two characters could make the jump toGen V. While the college-set spinoff has its own cliffhanger to address, it will be a priority to pave the way forThe Boysseason 5, which will be its last.

It could be the case that, before the fifth and final season ofThe Boys, either Sam or Cate will experience a significant shift. They could either go on a redemption arc, or perhaps at least one of them will perish while fighting for Homelander’s side. It also makesGen Vseason 2more essential, as audiences will likely want to tune into it as a bridge to new episodes ofThe Boys. It seems likely that whatever they end up doing inGen Vwill impact the flagship show, or at least offer clues about what’s next for Frenchie and Kimiko.

It will be interesting to see what this means for the rest oftheGen Vcharacters. Sam and Cate developed close relationships with all of them, with the finale leaving the heroes trapped in what looked to be a secret medical facility. It adds up to a lot of intrigue for the spinoff, which will have to juggle several different storylines in its sophomore installment. Whether it will also continue on afterThe Boysends remainds to be seen, but future episodes will likely have offer some clues.
