The popular action RPG by HoYoverse is getting larger with each expansion, but its overload of content is not its main problem: it’s farming.
Chasca’s Leaked Release Date In Genshin Impact 5.1 Hint At Character’s Design Progress
Leaks Mention Chasca Is A Cryo Bow Character
If Chasca’s release is truly set for Version 5.1, then HoYoverse may be nearly done with the base design of her gameplay kit. So far, little is known about her. During the new teaser trailer shown by the developer,Chasca is seen carrying a Cryo Vision, meaning she uses Ice-based abilities in combat. Additionally, information shared by the leaker known as Seele onReddithighlights that Chasca may be a bow user, which would mean she would join the very limited group composed of Aloy, Diona, and Ganyu inGenshin Impact.
Version 5.1 should arrive on October 9 if there are no delays to the regular six-week schedule between each update.

It is uncertain if Chasca will be a 4-star unit or a 5-star character, and leaks have not yet mentioned her potential rarity so far. Chasca is only seen briefly in the teaser trailer, but her design shows elements of the leaked Captain R, who ended up becoming Clorinde in Fontaine. There is a chance that the scrapped concept designs for previous characters, like Captain R, resulted in the creation of Chasca inGenshin Impact.
Currently, Chasca is one of the many reasons developer HoYoverse is being publicly criticized by its community. Following the reveal of the new Natlan characters, players are signing petitions and calling for boycotts because of the game’s lack of racial representation, with only one character having dark skin in a Nation that is inspired by real-life African and South American countries. The game has been undergoing criticisms of whitewashing and cultural appropriation since the release of Sumeru in 2022, and the issues are once again under the spotlight with therelease of Natlan inGenshin Impact.
A petition to improve representation in the game has surpassed 40 thousand signatures onChange.org.
It is uncertain if HoYoverse will react to these protests but, even if it does not, the leaks about Chasca’s release should be taken with caution. The information may be incorrect or simply subject to change – especially if HoYoverse decides to postpone the arrival of Natlan to rework the visual design of some of its upcoming characters inGenshin Impact.
