Unfortunately, Reggie is already there, and their friend-turned-demon is destroying the building and eating Veronica’s staff.
Spurred on by his demon familiar, Archie runs headfirst to attack the monstrous Reggie while Jughead tries to avoid the danger. It isn’t long into the fight before Archie realizes he’s not alone.Betty and Veronica are there, and just like Reggie,Archie’s love interests have been turned into demons.

In this world, one of Dilton Doiley’s experiments taps into a realm of demons and brings them all to Riverdale. Many die during the initial attack, including Archie’s parents. Seeking to restore Riverdale, Archie strikes a deal with Madame Satan, who binds him to a demon known as Alistair. Archie has used Alistair’s power to defeat numerous demons,but Archie has also started to lose his humanity the longer he goes on killing.
Archie has had to face a lot of demons, some of them even his friends' faces. Archie had been hoping that Reggie was going to be the last demon on his list. But now he’s facing demonic versions of the two people he loves the most. Betty and Veronica have always had a friendly competition for Archie’s heart and this time, they’re teaming up to get it in the most literal way possible.Archie’s grappled with his waning humanity throughoutJudgment Day, but can he really kill Betty and Veronica? Worse, what will happen to the world if he doesn’t?
The Fate of Riverdale Depends on Archie vs. Betty and Veronica
Despite the major cost to Archie, he’s close to eliminating the demon scourge that’s infested Riverdale. It’s no shock that the demons chose to possess Veronica and Betty. At his core, Archie deeply loves both of them and even as he grows more and more distant from his humanity, it’s unlikely Archie can bring himself to kill or even hurt either one, even if they’re possessed.Archie’scome a long way in his mission as a demon hunter, but with Betty and Veronica fighting for evil, it’s hard to picture Riverdale lasting much longer.

Archie is a long-running comic book series that started in 1942 after Archie himself debuted in Pep Comics #22 in 1941. Archie was rebooted in 2015 to include updated character designs and a more mature storyline. The Archie franchise has expanded into other mediums as well, including The CW’s Riverdale TV show starring KJ Apa.
