Summary

Marvel’s TV efforts have been hit or miss for some time, but one of the most underrated shows,Legion, will finally get some attention in 2024 thanks to some returning stars. Marvel TV shows have been all over the place since theMCUfirst started in 2008, with a separate Marvel Television department working across numerous projects and networks to deliver shows with mixed results. This meant that for every big hit, like Netflix’sDaredevil, there was also a show that failed to inspire audiences, like ABC’sInhumans.

However, with Marvel shows popping up on so many streaming platforms and networks, it was easy for some to go under the radar, including one that, despite being nominated for a Primetime Emmy and receiving critical acclaim, never got the audience it deserved.Legionis one of the best shows to come from acollaboration with Marvel Television, and 2024 is the perfect time for the show to finally get the attention it deserves. Especially considering some of the show’s stars are now entering more mainstream superhero projects.

However, this is just the tip of the iceberg, as 2024 provides further opportunities for the cast ofLegion. Legion is a show that was developed in association with FX, a branch of Fox, and as such, the show takes place in another branch of the X-Men universe. Despitecreating another X-Men timeline on top of the originalX-Mentrilogyand the rebooted films starring James McAvoy, the show wove an impressive narrative that went underappreciated.

WithDeadpool & Wolverinebringing theFox X-Men universe and the MCUtogether in one big family, and resolving the timelines, it would be the perfect moment to bring some of the characters fromLegioninto the MCU. While several cameos have already been confirmed inDeadpool & Wolverine, far more are expected to fill out the film’s 2-hour runtime. With characters from other Fox X-Men movies already confirmed,Legiondeserves to share a little bit of the spotlight.
