Stranger Things season 5 brings the Netflix juggernaut to an end, and the show will feature Mike and Nancy Wheeler teaming up in the Upside Down. The characters haven’t had a lot of time together in the latest seasons, and it will be great to see the Wheeler family team up again after quite some time. I particularly am a fan of the Steve and Nancy pairing and would love to see more of them together. Steve also needs to pair off with Robin and Dustin in season 5. Hopper and Eleven is another duo that deserves quality time together.

Will Byers is one of the most unassuming membersof the core Party inStranger Things, but that in no way makes him any less valuable. In fact, Will is potentially the most pivotal character in the series, just behind Eleven. While he may seem slightly less physically strong or resilient compared to his friends,Will possesses unique knowledge and passive abilities due to his time spent in the Upside Down.
Will has an innate connection to the monstrous world that exists parallel to Hawkins, and is intuitively able to sense things the others can’t. For that reason,Will has a higher than average intelligence score, which indicates he is able to pick up on things the others won’t. In most other areas, Will comes in slightly lower, but that does not mean he is any less important, or helpful in the team, though his specific area of expertise is more narrow.

The lovablehero, Dustin Henderson, on the other hand, hasdedicated his young life to the pursuit of his passions and interests, and it has led to him becoming an expert in a couple of different fields.This sort of dedication and expertise contributes to him scoring highly in areas such as intelligence and wisdom. In addition, he is also physically one of the largest and strongest members of the group, which leads to him having a slightly higher than average strength score.
However, there are two areas where Dustin is lacking. First, he is potentially one of the slowest members of the party, which leads to a lower dexterity score, and he lacks some of the social skills that the others have more naturally, despite having a long-distance girlfriend, so his charisma is also on the lower end. However, there have been numerous occasions whenDustin’s incredible recall and knowledge has been the key to solving problems and defeating the monsters.

Lucas is one of the first members of the group to have generally good scores all round. Lucas is the athlete of the group, with a keen interest in sports like basketball, which leads tohim having slightly higher strength, dexterity, and constitution. He also finds it easier to make friends outside of the Party, which is due to his better social skills, thus boosting his charisma score.
However, Lucas could be argued to be one of the least traditionally intelligent characters in the show when it comes to education, but he makes up for it with his innate awareness, or wisdom. Lucas occasionally struggles to find his place among his friends, and with other groups, but he is incredibly determined, and a great asset in the fight against the monsters from the Upside Down. Ultimately,Lucas stands by his friends, and steps up when they need him most.
Max is one of the more recent additions to the Party, having joined the show inStranger Thingsseason 2, years after the core group became lifelong friends. Max is somewhat of an outsider, with a troubled home life that causes her to build high walls and a tough outer shell.She is quick and agile, as well as being extremely tough.In areas such as charisma, however, she is slightly stunted due to her more hostile nature, but even there, she is learning to soften.
In other areas, suchas intelligence and wisdom, Max is above average, though she doesn’t score quite as high as some other members of the Party. While Max may have her walls up, she is an invaluable member of the team, and one of Eleven’s closest friends. She also has a romantic relationship with Lucas, which sets up the more popular couple within the Party out of all the romantic pairings.

Steve Harrington is easily the most likable and fun character inStranger Things. When he first appeared, Steve was the jock boyfriend of Nancy Wheeler, and someone who paid little attention to those around him. However,Steve then had a huge shift as he opened himself up to becoming friends with kids like Dustin, and accepting that his past behavior was wrong. As a result, this leads to Steve being one of the rare characters to have a 20 for charisma.
This natural charm and enthusiasm makes him an incredible asset, who is able to connect with people with ease, and form genuine connections. In other respects,Steve is generally above average, although nothing is nearly so valuable as his charm.For this reason, Steve is primarily a magnetic and enigmatic personality who can aid the others in the Party and uplift those around him. But, he is also more than willing to jump into trouble with both feet and defend his friends.

Robin is another recent addition, having joined the show in season 3. Robin becomes a close friend to Steve Harrington when the pair work together at a Chips Ahoy food stand.Robin and Steveare similar in many ways, with both characters being extremely charming and engaging. However,Robin stands out for her greater intelligence and wisdom compared to Steve.

Steve is by no means dumb, but Robin does make it appear that he may be so comparatively speaking. Nancy Wheeler is the older sister of Mike Wheeler, and while she wasn’t technically a member of the Party when the group was playing DnD in the basement, she is a vital part of the real-life Party that goes head-to-head with the monsters from the Upside Down.
Nancy is a determined and headstrong character who has a passion for investigative journalism.This makes her an extremely intelligent and intuitive character, though sometimes that passion can get too intense. Nancy is a great leader, and she possesses a strong will that means she does not back down from a fight, no matter how scary things get.
She will also jump in to protect others she cares about, and puts her incredible knowledge and skills to their best use in uncovering details about characters and corruption. Meanwhile, she is also slightly above average in other areas, but she clearly stands out for her intelligence and wisdom.
Jonathan Byers, Will’s older brother and Nancy’s current boyfriend, is a great guy, and while none of his attributes are terrible, he’s not necessarily a master in any one area. Jonathan is loyal, and follows Nancy to extreme lengths, but in terms of a standout attribute for Jonathan,Stranger Thingshasn’t really given Jonathan many opportunities to shinein some area that could neatly be defined by one of the above attributes.
Jonathan is not necessarily very charismatic, and even in his own long-term relationship, he remains somewhat awkward. Due to his efforts to aid and support his family,his education takes a back seat to working and providing, and his strength and dexterity aren’t anything special. With all of that said, Jonathan is still a valuable member of the team who supports and uplifts his teammates, and despite not having many specialties, he will stand with his friends.
Should Eddie return in Stranger Things season 5?
Eddie’s death was one of the most heartbreaking of Stranger Things across its first four seasons, thanks in large part to Joseph Quinn’s charismatic performance. With season 5 set to close out the Netflix show, many fans have taken to arguing that he should return for the final season, potentially even as a Vecna-controlled foe for the young heroes. With Quinn’s star profile now on the rise, bringing him back would feel less like an exciting return and more a desire to capitalize on his popularity to undo his emotional exit.
On the opposite side of that spectrum, Mike Wheeler is an all-round strong character who has above-average stats across the board. As the leader of the Party,Mike is adept at working in a team, and highlighting his team’s strengths.
While he isn’t the strongest, most intelligent, or most charismatic, he has a certain level of skill in all of these areas, making him a better leader, capable of understanding his teams' unique traits, and how they can operate in a way that exceeds his own personal abilities.
Ultimately, it isn’t the job of the leader to be the best at everything, but to be the one who can bring the best out in his team. Mike certainly manages to do this, with his experience as a DM, and his natural leadership causing him to excel in the role. And when he needs to rely on his own skills, he is proficient and highly capable across the board in a way that benefits the whole team.
Eleven has the most challenging past of all the Party. Having spent years in a lab, where she was an experiment being trained how to use her powers and nothing else, there are clear gaps in her background. Eleven is not naturally gifted in social situations, and in terms of wisdom and intuitively gauging her environment and adapting, it doesn’t come naturally. However, she is exceptionally gifted in other ways.
Eleven has telekinetic powersthat allow her to perform extreme feats of strength. From flinging large monsters, to manipulating the environment,Eleven has a far above average degree of power, which, although it’s telekinetic, manifests in a very physical way.
In addition, she has a high constitution which is enhanced and refined by her powers and upbringing, which allows her to withstand extreme life-threatening dangers and recover swiftly. She is also highly intelligent, and capable of absorbing information quickly, making her one of the most versatile and powerful characters inStranger Things.
