First seen in 2019’sCaptain Marvelas the titular hero’s best friend, Lynch has portrayed variants ofMaria Rambeau inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessandThe Marvels. These variants became Captain Marvel instead of Carol Danvers, with the version inThe Marvelseven being enhanced further into Binary. Her constant reappearances make her a likely character to show up inDeadpool & Wolverine.

At the end of the trailer, the titular heroes jump into a portal that appears to have been created by a Master of the Mystic Arts.
